By the end of 2001, high-speed data users outside of I-270 will be connected to downtown Columbus and be offered a variety of new service providers through Columbus FiberNet (CFN). Similar to the I-270 outer belt, CFN is a 20-lane information superhighway around Columbus providing network service providers with connectivity to the Top 150 commercial broadband customers. The CFN duct system consists of 70 miles of twenty 1½ innerducts connecting the downtown commercial business district with the high tech business parks in Dublin, Worthington, Westerville, Polaris, Gahanna, Easton, and Hilliard. CFN's broadband infrastructure is a technology asset for the City of Columbus to attract high tech companies and spur economic development.

Columbus FiberNet is a 70 Mile ring connecting the down-town central business district with Hilliard, Dublin, Worthington, Polaris, Westerville, Gahanna, and the Ohio State University Campus.
